FUIB has completed full integration with Android Pay payment service by launching contactless payments for VISA cards
The First Ukrainian International Bank (FUIB) became the first bank with private Ukrainian capital to integrate fully with the Android Pay payment service by launching contactless payments for VISA cards. From 9 January 2018, all holders of VISA payment cards from FUIB will be able to join the international standards and make contactless payments with the help of smartphones on Android OS.
"FUIB is the first bank with private Ukrainian capital, which provides an opportunity for contactless payments to card holders of two global payment systems - VISA and MasterCard. Full integration with Android Pay is a strategically important project for the bank aimed at improving the quality and convenience of the service," commented Serhiy Chernenko, FUIB's Chairman of the Board.
We would like to remind that on 12 December 2017, FUIB has implemented the integration with the Android Pay application for MasterCard payment cards.
To use the Android Pay system, owners of smartphones working on Android 4.4 OS and above with NFC technology, need to install the free Android Pay application from Google Play Market. In the application, you must enter the data of your payment VISA or MasterCard payment card from FUIB. After that, you can make fast payments on contactless POS terminals at retail outlets. To do this, you just need to unlock the mobile device and bring it to the contactless terminal on the checkout.
Ukraine became the 15th country in the world in which Google launched its Android Pay service.
